Stapled pictorial paper binding; cover art, wrapping around from front to back cover, shows trains passing at night going in opposite directions through Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, PA (based on a photograph). Binding is lightly rubbed at its edges, with two tiny tears at the fore edge of its front cover; top outside corner of both covers and all pages lightly bumped/creased diagonally 1/2" or less; back cover and last ten or so leaves of book are faintly creased from top to bottom near their fore edges. Binding is tight and unfaded; pages are unmarked. Book is stored in a protective clear plastic bag. 36 pp. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.

Privately published, probably in 1935 or thereabouts, by the friends and associates of a railroad man, John J. Bernet, who died in the prime of his life. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy paste-downs; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Light scuffing and shelf- and edge-wear, else remarkably bright of interior. Black-and-white frontis portrait of Bernet, protected by tissue guard, no real title page per se. Bound in cloth-backed grey boards with J.J. Bernet's signature "card/label" affixed to upper cover, being 95 pp. in length. John J. Bernet was President of the Erie Railroad Company for a time and apparently much loved by his employees and colleagues. This Memorial is extremely scarced in the trade.
